Rural Broadband – During Doug Steele’s tenure as ECOP chair in 2012, discussions occurred with the USDA Rural Utilities Service related to Cooperative Extension’s role in helping communities understand the importance of broadband investments; showing businesses how to use the internet for e-commerce, and engaging city and county governments in the use of the internet for delivery of government services, health care, and non-formal education of citizens.
